The Strangers - 1 frown

Random acts of violence in “The Strangers” calls to mind the Tate-LaBianca murders in 1969 although this movie is based on an incident that happened in 2005. Director Bryan Bertino successfully builds suspense for his two central characters, Kristen McKay (Liv Tyler) and James Hoyt (Scott Speedman), but, at best, this heartless home invasion movie is an ordeal to watch.
